Delivery and receipt of the payment terminal
The payment terminal is usually delivered by the Post office within two working days of the order and the signing of the merchant agreement. However, most often already on the next working day following the order if the formalities related to the merchant agreement have been completed.
After receiving the shipment, check that the package/device are intact, it includes a transformer and power cord. (and depending on the device model, possibly a network cable.)
The network cable is always delivered with the Yomani ML payment terminal, which must be connected to the Internet, ie to a WLAN router or broadband modem with a network cable. The Yomani XR / 3G payment terminal has a built-in mobile internet connection and a network cable may not be required. If the Internet is available at the location via a network cable, we recommend that you also connect the 3G payment terminal to the Internet with a cable. Which case it will also work during possible mobile network disruptions. If necessary, you can check the type of payment terminal from the marking on the bottom of the device.
Placement of the payment terminal
Place the payment terminal so that it is easily accessible to the customer and there's a little free space around the device so that the contactless payment can also be made easily.
Take also into account that the power cord and any network cable reach well to their connection points and no cord is left hanging freely. That way the payment terminal does not accidentally fall to the floor, for example.
Payment terminal installation and commissioning
First, connect any network cable to the payment terminal and to a WLAN router, broadband modem, or other device that provides an Internet connection.
Then connect the power cord to the payment terminal and the electrical outlet.
The device starts up. wait a moment until you see the Book Salon logo on the screen of the payment terminal. After that the payment terminal is ready for use.
The payment terminal does not have a separate power switch and it must also be left on overnight. automatically makes the necessary software updates.
If the Salon has previously used a Book Salon Cashier and another payment terminal, the Book Salon Cashier must be activated for use at the Cashier/Checkout by notifying us, the easiest way to do this is to chat ↘️
Using the payment terminal
At the Book Salon Checkout, select the payment method as the payment method and click for example "Debit". The amount will be transferred directly to the payment terminal and the customer can pay for their purchases in the desired use.
The Book Salon payment terminal supports Visa and MasterCard card payments using a chip card, local payment, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
